I have been on DA for so long,  that I have collected myself a loooooong list of submission, some aging over 5 years by now.
recently I was browsing through my submissions and was thinking.....
The work of which I was so proud 5 years back have now become a little bit of a sore in the eye.
Not all pictures I posted are like that, there are some real gems in there. But I really  need t get rid of the ones that have become that sore in my eye so only the best will be left behind.
So.... If you see pictures disappear over time... That is me cleaning out the junk in my submissions.
It is so much I can not possibly do it all in one day, so it will be a slow progress but I know I have to do this.
And I hope you all will understand my decisions #^.^#
Just a quick head's up.
I am working on cleaning up by gallery.
I am planning on using less submaps than before. (still working on that ;) )
Also I will start using my featured gallery for my best work only.
That means the "lesser" work or the work that I myself do not consider my best work will not go to my featured map but will only be visible in the submaps.

Yup... I think that about sums it up.
Just a quick head's up like I said ;)
Hi everyone!.

The sun has not shown it's face a lot here in the past week or so, that is why I decided I am going to go and look for it. :D
Well that is partially true..... :)
Real thing is.... I'm going to leave for a two week holiday in a couple of days, so I will not be as active as I have been over the past couple of weeks.
I will be bringing along two of my resin buddies so be prepared for a pic spam when I return. ;)

Until then my DA addicts :D *waves*
I have recently decided that I am going to remove all my doll accounts from facebook.
I really do not use them anymore, because I keep forgetting about them. So that's why I thought it would be better to just delete them. But that also have me a little bit of a problem. I always used one of my doll accounts to upload the group pictures that get made at meetings.
I really do not want them to get deleted with the account, so I decided to upload them here. That way everyone can still see them :D
So if you find a massive upload of groups shots of me... this is why.
I know I have been kind of absent the last few weeks.
The reason.
I had my behind planted in the sunny country of France and was enjoying a week at Disneyland Paris followed by a waaay to hot week in the beautiful Dordogne.
I did take one of my cuties along with me and had the luck to make some really awesome pictures of him in the second week of my holiday. I am currently trying to find the best ones for uploading. But give me some time. I just got home and I have a crapload of cleaning and tidying to do.
But I can't hardly wait to show you the pictures I took. Not only my doll related ones, but some awesome beautiful ones I took of other things I came across while I was there.
Last night I got a whole new tag! :D

5. Go to their page to inform them they are tagged.
6. Not something like "you are tagged if you read that".
7. You have to legitimately tag 10 people.
8. No tag backs.

1. Who is your biggest role model, and can you tell why?
( a quick copy past from my precious Tagged journal entry)
There are so many great and awesome people in this hobby that have been an inspiration to me that it is almost impossible to name them all.
But the people that inspire me most right now and the ones that are closest to me in this hobby. As they drive me to make the best of my dolls and my characters, and their honest feedback only helps me grow.

:iconlavandula-bjd::iconamariexciryatan:
:iconazumixvampire::iconsoftpoison:

2. Assuming you read, what is your favorite book or book series?
Oh dear. You really want to make me choose? There are a lot of awesome series. Oke let me see if I can narrow it all down to a few
Series I love to read:
Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber
Black Dagger brotherhood ( J.R. Ward)
Lords of the underworld (Gena Showalter)
Shifters series ( Rachel Vincent)
Hush Hush (Becca FitzPatrick)
Die of me (Amy Plum)
Wolves of mercy falls series (maggie Stiefvater)
And many many many more
3. Have any (strange) hobbies?
Isn't BJD a strange hobby then? ;) :P
Besides that. I picked up a new strange hobby of visiting ruins at night with a good friend of mine ;)
4. What appeals to you in this hobby/these hobbies?
In one word.
Creativity.
The diversity of all kinds of creativity that you can put into this hobby is amazing, weather it's face-ups, making clothes, jewelry, props, stories, rp's. Everything is possible. And that is what I love about this hobby.
And besides all of that I really think that meeting all those amazing people in this hobby is a big plus too! ;)
5. What do you like to do most when you are with friends?
Just being around my friends is normally enough for me. I love being around them and just hanging out, getting to talk and laugh with them just gives me so much joy. But if I had to name some things I love to do with them. Watch movies, go to concerts, play board games, do photography, shop :P (hey I'm still a girl) and many many more fun things
6. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Liars!!!!!!
People that lie to my face, and me having to find out later that they have lied when they just could have told me the truth and I would have been find with it.
7. For what dish can they call you any time of the day/night?
ICECREAAAAAMMMM!!!!!! Triple chocolate icecream or Dame blanche. *mouth waters*
8. If you won a great sum (note; enough not to have to work anymore) of money, what would be the first thing you'd do?
Buy a house! Me and the male have been wanting to get out of out way to small home for some years now and we just can not do it because we can not get a mortgage, and rent on houses and the waiting periods to get one  are just insane.
9. What is your biggest wish for the future?
May sound corny, A family. For some people it is just not as  easy as it may seem. So yes, that is my biggest wish.
10. When a cow laughs, does milk come out of its nose?
Hmmm, don't now. *Run's out of her house and over to the farmer at the end of the street and starts to tickle a cow's belly.*

So there we go. Yay finished another set of questions.
Like my previous tagged journal entry I am not going to tag people.
If you want to join in on the fun I have a set of questions made up and ready for you to answer.
Which are the same as in the last entry ;)

1: What is the weirdest things you have said since being in this hobby that you probably would have never said if you never have gotten into this hobby?

2: How did you get introduced into this hobby?

3: Which doll would you buy if someone told you you could order one doll for free, now matter how expensive?

4: What is your preferred doll size?

5: What do you enjoy most about this hobby?

6: What is your opinions about copy cats? People that buy a doll and want it to look like a doll from another owner?

7: Are there any doll owners you look up to? or just think of as absolutely awesome because they are so nice and friendly or even helpful?

8: What is your favorite doll company('s)?

9: What is the biggest mistake you have ever made with your dolls?

10: what is your most precious memory in this hobby?

OMG...I got tagged.

The questions I got questions:

1. What's the scariest thing you ever did with your doll(s)? (Think about underwater shoots, modding and putting them somewhere high to make pretty pictures)?
The scariest things I ever did was place one of my girls on a castle wall with nothing but water on the other side.
If she were to fall, I would have lost her forever to the deep darkness of the moat.
And since the wind was blowing quite intensely... it was utterly scary.

2. If a successful company contacted you with the question if you want to take it over, but you have to move and leave everyone you love behind to run it, what would be your exact words to that company?

My exact words???
Pffffff....
Okay, I think something along the line of: thank you for the offer, I'm honored you would think of me, but I am just not able to leave my family and friends behind. They mean the world to me and I just could not do without them.
Something like that, but perhaps with a whole lot more words ;)

3. What would you do if you suddenly realized your doll is a recast?

I think I'd be disappointed. That is for sure. I personally would not go for recast dolls, but if the seller turned out to have tricked into buying one none the less, I would probably not do much, perhaps contact the seller if it was a recent buy, but besides that, i would make the best of it. I would not go and sell it right away. I would keep the doll, and only think about selling it if I failed to bond with it over time.

4. Do you think making your dolls gay, transgender, transsexual, bi or any other type that has to do with sexual orientation/preference is weird?

No, I don't. I have several Gay/bi characters of my own. There are so many different kinds of people out there, and it does not matter whether you are gay, of straight, transsexual or transgender. The things that matters so me, if that you are a good person. Treat other people like you want to be treated no matter one might look. No matter what one preferences are. So why should dolls be any different?

5. How do you look at your dolls? Are they just dolls to you or do you treat them as something more than that?

That is one hell of a good question. My dolls are dolls. They are not living creatures, like I myself am, or my friends or pets. But my dolls mean more to me that just being a doll. My dolls help me get through the everyday life.
They are my way to get all the that is locked up inside of me out. Whether it is by making clothes for t he, doing face-ups or make pictures. Being creative is my way to handle the sometimes though world outside. And I admit.... when I am feeling blue, there is no better thing that to cuddle up with one of my boys.

6. How did you get into the BJD hobby?

I first found out about dolls on the Elf fantasy fair in the Netherlands. Where a shop called Think Pink was selling them. I always visited this store because they also sold bleeding edge dolls, which I used to collect too. And me and my best friend got fascinated by them after seeing BJD there. I did not end up buying one as I did not have that kind of money on me. But I ended up buying from the online store a few months later. And that is when it all started :P

7. If you were a really really good face-up artist and everyone in the hobby wanted commissions from you, how high would your prices be? (Give prices for face-up, body blushing, tattoo's and mani/pedicure).

I think my prices would still be the way they are right now.
seeingitcreative.simpsite.nl/P…

8. Did you ever want to stop with the hobby just because you were bored of your dolls/because you thought they were expensive and unnessacary?

No! Never!  ;)
I could not imagine a world without my dolls

9. In this hobby, who is the one you look up to the most? (Think of face-up artists, company owners or maybe friends).

There are so many great and awesome people in this hobby that have been an inspiration to me that it is almost impossible to name them all.
But the people that inspire me most right now and the ones that are closest to me in this hobby. As they drive me to make the best of my dolls and my characters, and their honest feedback only helps me grow.

:iconlavandula-bjd::iconamariexciryatan:
:iconazumixvampire::iconsoftpoison:

10. What's the scariest thing ever happened to your dolls? (damaging etc.) if nothing occurs to you, then what is the weirdest thing that ever happened to your dolls?

The scariest thing that ever happened to me was probably Purdy falling off a wall. I was visiting Dover Castle had had my girl with me. I placed her on this wall that was really thick so I did not think much of it. Thinking that is she would fall  she's just stay on the wall and not tumble down it.
Was I wrong. I highly underestimated the wind and with one big gust she nearly flew off the wall an tumbled down the other end. I was lucky enough she landed face up on a little ridge that was 1/4 down the wall and did not tumble all the way. I probably would have lost her forever is she had. Luckily for me she survived with just a few small scratches on one of her arms. NEVER doing something like that again. NEVER underestimate the wind.

Oke, so now I answered all the questions. Now it's time for me to think of 10 of my own

So that is it!
I know I should be tagging people right now...
But I think I am not going to as I kinda hate pushing these things onto people
If you want to join in on the fun, feel free to do so ;)

With pain in my heart I am selling my little girl Purdy.
I just don't have a click with her anymore, and she deserves so much more that to just lay in my drawer.

So she is up for sale or for trade.

Oh my dear,

The dollies are taking over Facebook.
Or at least it seems to be so.
Friends around me started making Facebook pages for their dolls and they kept telling me I should make one to.
Well I ended up with three. How that happened, I have no idea, but my three boys just had to have one.
And to be honest, I kind of like them having one. It is so much fun interacting with people though my dolls. It is kind of addictive.

So here are the links to my boy's facebook pages.

Aiden
Aiden shares his page with his boyfriend Nathanael
(nathanael is owner by :iconlavandula-bjd:)

Patch
Your friendly neighborliness rebel boy

Cade
You all might not really know Cade yet. As he is a doll I am currently saving for, But with a whole lot of thanx to :iconlavandula-bjd: he has already come to live.
Ow and let's not forget to mention Cade is Patch his lover.
And what better way is there to get to know this marvelous guy then adding him to your facebook friends?
Today I went to visit one of the dutch second world war concentration camps called "Kamp Vught."
This camp is a camp that lays very close to my home town, and I have visited the location before when I was just a little kid.
I never forgot that visit.
And I wanted to visit it again.
Not only because the male never visited, but also because it had left such an impression on my as a little kid.

I can honestly say, that it has left a big impresion on me today.
It's just frightening to see how life was in a camp like this from up close.
even though most of the camp has been destroyed, the things that remain, will never leave your memorie
And it makes you cherish your freedom!!!
It makes you gratefull for all those who have fought for our freedom in the war.
I have made a special map for the pictures I took there.
Just because they deserve no less.

I have not uploaded all of them yet, they will come in the next few days.
But there are some already online.

Pictures can speak a thousand words!
I hope these pictures will leave the same impression on you as the camp has left on me.
And that you also will cherish your freedom and think once again of all the heroes who have fought for our freedom.

Read more about the camp in my album: GO!
Seems everytime I write a journal entry I am doing so to tell you I am gonna spam the hell out of all of you with my pictures.
As I am doing so today.
Not that I do not have any other things to tell you besides that!
So that is just what I am gonna do today!
Tell you something else besides the fact that I am buggin the crap out of you all! haha

I thought I would talk a bit about what you can expect to see pop up in the next few days.
Recently I went to the farmersday here in my itty bitty vilage.
It's a yearly returning event where lot's of old fixed up tractors come and make an impressive long ride through the villages around mine.
Afterwards they come back to the event and gather to party.
I went to see them come back to the event and took my camera with me.
I am a huge fan of old things. so I could not refuse to capture some of these old beasts.
Something I have never done before though.
But I loved it. And so did my camera! haha

So do you want to see some dutch farmers history, keep an eye out! pics coming real soon!
Hey everyone.

After giving my Boy and Girl Loretta a new face-up not so very long ago, it came to my realisation that I never really had a bond with Sarah Ann as a character.
She was just a little to sweet and depressed and never really experienced that click I had with all my other dolls.
Right after I started thinking about the character Sarah Ann and decided she could no longer go by that name and decided to remove the last part and just name her Sarah.
But it just didn't do it for me. It felt disconnected from the doll and the girl I saw in her.

So I went in search of the girl she is, and not for the girl she was.
And that is when I found who she really is.
That is when I found her.

So I would like you all to meet my new girl and her new name

Allisyn Purdy Bladewell

But everyone calles her Purdy.
There really seems to be no end to all the pictures I still need to go through.
Yesterday I added 242 pictures to my already gigantic list of pictures. Not so  very smart of me, I know. But I could not help myself. hihi
I am really working hard on getting through all the pictures I took lately and post them all here on Dev art and my blog.
Which for you all results in a lot of watch messages from me :)
I hope you all do not mind me spamming your watch messages....
I hope to finish in the upcoming week. Yes, hope. Not sure.  But its my goal.

Fingers crossed!
Piles and Piles of pictures.
They are stacked in files on my computer and I just did not have the time to catch up with them and put them online.
And the stack just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
And I kept on taking more and more pictures.

So Today I decided to catch up on all my pictures.
I have been working onit the entire morning and I am still not finished. Far from, to be honest.
It's a lot of work...
Browse through them, pick the most beautifull of them all and start oploading them.
And me being really picky about my pictures, makes going through them even harder.
But I am going through them one at a time and I will get there. even if it takes me the entire day.

So if you go through your watch messages, and you see me with a rediculous amount of new deviants... Sorry for that. hihi I just needed to catch up.
I do hope you like the pictures I uploaded.

A teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up, not to rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now, even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bullies another child, they may say they're sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Copy and paste this if you are against bullying.

Let's see who will actually re-post this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. This is a test to see how many people list actually pay attention. Copy and re-post in your own journal. Let's see who the real people are. Re-post this if you care about this kind of situation.
Don't reply... just copy and paste this in a new bulletin as "Fake Deviants"
That is the question you have to ask yourself a lot when you look at photopgraphy art these days.
With technology being a huge part of our lives it is so easy to add just that little bit more to you photo's. To give it a special light, or a special layer to it.
Just to enhanche the beauty fo the picture itself.

But to be honest with you....
I hardly ever edit or photoshop my pictures.
And I thought I would let you know... that all the pictures you see here are 100% real.. all the colors are just the way they are in real life, all the light and shadows are actually there.
No fake hues or removed parts of the picture.
And I take great proud in that fact.
The fact that all my pictures are real and 100% pure.
And I will keep on making pictures that way for a long time to come.
Surpriiiiisssee!!
You never thought you'd be seeing me here did ya?
Well, as of today... You can find me here!!
Still trying to firgure out some stuff.. but I am getting there...

Better get back to exploring now.
